GENERAL ENGLISH PROGRAMMES
Courses are divided into three main levels, from Beginners to
Advanced. Students may study for two, three, four or more weeks.
Completion of a level normally takes four weeks.

All courses cover the skills
of speaking, listening, reading and writing, in addition
to grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary development. Depending
on their level of English, students are given the option
of attending elective classes which reflect their personal
interests: English for Business, Conversation, Pronunciation,
British Life and Culture and TOEFL preparation.

ACCOMMODATION
ELS Language Centres offer three types of accommodation.
Homestay:
- Students live with an English host family,
where they experience authentic British culture at first hand
and are encouraged to speak English.
- Full or half board.
- Single or double room.
University Residence:
- Students attending the London Language Centre
may choose to stay at a university hall of residence.
- All rooms are single.
- The residences have a cafeteria, bar and games
room.
Hotels or Guest House:
- ELS can reserve a room in a hotel or guest
house within easy reach of the centres in Richmond and London.
EXAM PREPARATION
ELS Language Centres can prepare
you for a variety of public exams such as the University of Cambridge
examination or TOEFL. Students are also prepared for the Test
of English for International Communication (TOEIC), recognised
by an increasing number of employers worldwide as an objective
measurement of English proficiency in the workplace. Students
at ELS have the option of taking this exam at the same centre,
as ELS Language Centres is an accredited TOEIC testing centre.
